Anyone else up for a new banner?

Maybe its just me, because I spend a ton of my time on the site, but I think it needs a new banner. Its not a bad one right now, at all, it just getting a bit stale, plus, I think we were mostly putting it up just as a temporary banner until some better one shows up.

Anyway, if anyone decides to make a new banner (and its better than the one we have now), please upload it here, and we can vote on whether or not to change it.

*NOTE* Please try to stay away from the Final Fantasy theme. I know pride doesn't like it, since that's actually not where the name came from >.>

Ive been trying to get a new banner here since I registered here, sadly 85%, mayhap all, are final fantasy, but i'll see what I can scrounge up.

If I knew what font that was, and got a hold of it, I could spruce it up a little. Or I can totally butcher it, who knows?!

You said no final fantasy, but face it, when people read Crisis_Core, theyre going to think final fantasy.

Not the best quality, none of mine will be, due to outdated image editing software. And it might be a bit big for the banner. TExt is kind of small, but I want it to be long, not tall, so not much I can do.

Eh, yeah. A banner should be much more long than it is tall. We don't want it to be too big. I'd say that the banner we have currently is too "square". Try to make it take up a teensy bit more space horizontally than the current banner, but not quite as tall.

Until very recently, I've been using an excuse of a software program called Corel Paint Shop Pro. (Not to be confused with Corel Painter). I tried using GIMP as well, but I lost patience with it pretty quickly; I use Photoshop now though >.>

Ewwww, corel. I have that too but no love for it. I use gimp more so. It's inconvenient as the controls are different than most editor's standard layout, but it's pretty good once you learn to use it.

So far I think Thailis's banner is winning... Especially since its the only one that actually looks like a banner, and not a square >.>

I use GIMP. Well... I TRY to use GIMP. Everything ends up coming out with me getting frustrated and using the blur tool to blur the entire picture out.

Ok, got a new one, posting the original to since for some reason I went with an ugly shade of green.

I went ahead and changed the banner to what Thailius (I'm sorry dude, I spell your name wrong EVERY TIME) made... at least until Pride comes and says "Why'd you do that? /banned"

EDIT: In my honest opinion, I think it looks GREAT, and really complements the background of the greyish/blackish with the purplish/blueish of the banner. Great contrast. Good job Thail.
